Real Madrid vs Man City: Ancelotti confirms two key players will be back for second-leg

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that two of his key players will be back for his side’s UEFA Champions League playoffs second-leg tie against Manchester City next week.

Waploaded reports that the two key players are Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba.

Both defenders missed the first leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night due to injury.

The duo also missed Real Madrid’s LaLiga derby 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid last weekend.

Speaking to reporters at his post-match interview after Real Madrid defeated Man City 3-2 in the first-leg on Tuesday, Ancelotti said Rudiger and Alaba will be available in the return leg.

According to the Italian, Madrid need both players at the Santiago Bernabeu

“We need Rüdiger and Alaba for the return leg and I think they will be available,” the Italian said.

“It was a pretty surprising game and I didn’t think the team would be so capable of showing that level of sacrifice at this stage.”

The winner in the two-leg fixtures between Madrid and City will progress to the Champions League Round of 16
