Champions League play-offs: Two more teams on verge of qualifying for last 16

Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Both teams recorded 3-0 victories in the first legs of their play-off ties on Tuesday night.

PSG outclassed fellow Ligue 1 side, Brest, in the early kick-off of the day.

Vitinha opened the scoring from the penalty spot for the French champions at the Stade de Roudourou in Guingamp.

Ousmane Dembele continued his hot streak in front of goal with a brace.

Dortmund claimed a 3-0 win at Sporting, effectively putting an end to the Portuguese champions’ hope of progressing.

Serhou Guirassay headed in the opener in the 60th minute, before turning provider for the second goal converted by Pascal Grauss.

The rout was complete in the 82nd minute, with Karim Adeyemi breaking clear and playing a 1-2 with Brandt before firing into the net.

The teams that are already confirmed for the last 16 are: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Atleti, Barcelona, Inter, Leverkusen, Lille and Liverpool.
