Transfer: Oladipo delighted to join AS Roma

Nigeria defender, Shukurat Oladipo, has expressed her excitement after sealing a move to Italian Femminile outfit, AS Roma.

AS Roma confirmed Oladipo’s signing on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Giallrossi from Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL, side put pen to paper on two-year contract.

“I’m very happy; I feel so excited. It’s a very big opportunity for me to join a very big team like AS Roma,” she told the club’s official website.

“Me coming to Italy and playing for AS Roma is a very big, life-changing experience for me. It will help my career grow and also help me grow as a person and a footballer.”

Oladipo, a member of Nigeria’s Falconets squad to the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup hosted by Colombia, also spoke about her mission at the club.

“My target is to help the team achieve their objective and plan for the season.

“My other target is to improve as a player,” stated the centre-back.
