Mount Zion Films Loses Another Cast Member, Tolu Adegboyega, Just Weeks After Baba Gbenro’s Death
The Nigerian gospel movie industry has received another painful blow with the reported death of actress Tolu Adegboyega, best known for her iconic portrayal of Flora in the famed Abattoir film series.
Tolu, famed for her outstanding performances and unshakable dedication to faith-based storytelling, was reportedly fighting for her life since December 26, 2024, following a fatal car accident that killed one of her twins.
Despite two vital surgeries and weeks in the Intensive Care Unit, sources indicate that the battle proved too much for her, and she died from her injuries.
Her bereaved family has yet to make burial plans, and the Gospel Film Industry has yet to issue a public statement on the death of one of its greatest.
Meanwhile, Tolu’s sad followers flooded her comment section, their emotions swinging between incredulity, sorrow, and a tenuous hope that she would return to contradict the devastating news herself. However, their appeals were met with silence, and reality settled in like a black cloud.
