Miles Teller & Casey Affleck to Lead Manhunt Thriller Movie Wild Game

Miles Teller (Whiplash) and Casey Affleck (Manchester By The Sea) have signed on for the leading roles in the upcoming manhunt thriller movie Wild Game. Production is expected to begin sometime this spring.

Teller will next be seen in the upcoming sci-fi action movie The Gorge, with Anya Taylor-Joy. Besides Wild Game, he is also currently attached to star in two high-profile movies, including the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, with Colman Domingo and the romantic comedy Eternity with Elizabeth Olsen. Affleck was most recently seen in last year’s The Instigators with Matt Damon.

What is Wild Game about?

“When Fish and Game officer Jack Irigaray joins a routine poacher arrest in the Black Rock Desert, a deadly encounter with renegade Claude Dallas shatters his reality and propels him into a relentless quest for vengeance — one that blurs the line between justice and obsession,” reads the official synopsis.

Wild Game will be written, directed, and produced by Oscar nominee Jason Hall (American Sniper). The project is based on Frank Bergon’s novel of the same name, which was based on true events. Producers are Fred Berger (A Complete Unknown), Brian Kavanaugh Jones (The Bikeriders), and Steve Richards (Afterburn). This marks Teller’s latest collaboration with Hall after starring in 2017’s Thank You For Your Service.

“I’m really looking forward to reuniting with Jason Hall on Wild Game. We’ve had a great collaboration in the past on Thank You For Your Service, and I know he’s going to bring incredible depth to this story,” Teller said in a statement (via Deadline). “Claude Dallas is such a complex and layered character—tough, relentless, and living by his own code. I can’t wait to get started with this team”
