FA Cup: Dennis to make Blackburn Rovers debut vs Wolves

Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace has revealed that Emmanuel Dennis will make his official debut for the club in Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Dennis joined Rovers on loan from Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest on deadline day.

The Nigerian featured for 45 minutes in Blackburn Rovers’ U-21 side’s 2-1 loss to Athletic Club B in the PL International Cup on Wednesday to boost his fitness.

The 27-year-old failed to make a competitive appearance for Nottingham Forest in the first half of the season.

“Three of the boys played for the Under-21s on Wednesday and played 45 minutes,” Eustace told the club’s official website.

“Everyone’s looking forward to playing against a Premier League team, and it’s a great opportunity to play some of the new lads who have just signed, to see where their fitness levels are at.”
