EPL: 4 Matches we could see shock results this weekend

The first set of Premier League fixtures in February will be played this weekend.

We are well over the half way stage of the season and every game counts for something both at the top and bottom of the table.

Arsenal vs Manchester City is obviously the pick of the bunch. But there will be other exciting fixtures to look forward to.

So, which four games could we see upsets?

1. Bournemouth vs Liverpool: This is one of the matches to keep an eye on this weekend. Bournemouth are in splendid form despite injuries to many key players. Led by the in-form Justin Kluivert, the Cherries have pulled off back-to-back wins against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. Liverpool will be the latest visitors to the Vitality Stadium, where they’ve already beaten Arsenal and Manchester City.

2. Man Utd vs Crystal Palace: You never really know what Manchester United side will turn up on any random match day. In their final Europa League group game on Thursday, Ruben Amorim’s team struggled to break down FCSB and needed two quick-fire goals to seal the win. It promises to be a different kettle of fish when they welcome Jean-Philippe Mateta and co. on Sunday.

3. Chelsea vs West Ham: The 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend pushed Chelsea out of the top five spots and they are fighting to qualify for next season’s Champions League. From being tagged serious title contenders in December, the Blues are now out of form. On Monday night, their former manager, Graham Potter, brings a rejuvenated West Ham side to Stamford Bridge, looking to claim his pound of flesh.

4. Brentford vs Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou’s men thrashed Elfsborg 3-0 in their Europa League fixture on Thursday to progress straight to the last 16. It was a much needed win, as Spurs have been stuck in a loop of very poor results, including consecutive losses to relegation-threatened sides Everton and Leicester City. However, a trip to Brentford, could be a big setback in their fight to regain momentum.
