Two men have been arrested in Adamawa State, Nigeria, for the alleged rape of two young girls. The incident occurred in Sangere Futy, Girei Local Government Area on January 12, 2025.
The suspects, identified as Bala Muhammed (35) and Usman Abdullahi (17), both residents of Dadin Kowa, Sangere Futy, were apprehended on January 22nd following a police investigation.
According to Adamawa State Police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspects had raped an 11-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl.
During questioning, both suspects admitted to the crimes. Muhammed claimed it was an unintentional mistake, while Abdullahi blamed his actions on the devil.
Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has assured the public that the suspects will be prosecuted upon completion of the investigation.
