Actress Jemima Osunde Shares Her Three-Year Health Struggle With H. Pylori
Nigerian actress Jemima Osunde opened up about a significant health struggle that began when she ate tainted food while working on set.
In a post on X on January 23, she recalled the incident from three years ago that caused her to contract Helicobacter pylori.
It’s a kind of bacteria that affects the stomach. The actress says that after eating the food given to her, she has been struggling with gastroesophageal reflux disease ever since. Jemima Osunde wrote:
“I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.
“Got H. pylori from set food and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last three years.”
Osunde shared how serious her condition is, explaining that it impacts her daily life and that her whole digestive system has become her biggest challenge. She added:
“The past month has really been something. sigh. My own stomach is my greatest op. Actually, my entire GIT.”
