The Accountant 2 First Image Previews Ben Affleck Sequel, World Premiere Set

The first photo from The Accountant 2 has been revealed.

The Accountant 2 is the forthcoming sequel to The Accountant, which was released in 2016. Ben Affleck is reprising his role as Christian Wolff in the movie, while Jon Bernthal also returns as Brax.

Amazon MGM Studios has now released the first image from The Accountant 2, which features both Affleck and Bernthal’s characters. Check out the image below:

Amazon MGM Studios has also announced that The Accountant 2 will hold its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at The Paramount Theatre. Click here for more information about the festival.

“Christian Wolff is brought out of hiding by Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina after someone close to them is killed by unknown assassins. To solve the murder, Wolff must recruit the help of his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax,” the synopsis for the movie reads.

The Accountant 2 is directed by Gavin O’Connor, who helmed the first movie. O’Connor’s filmography also includes 1995’s Comfortably Numb, 1999’s Tumbleweeds, 2004’s Miracle, 2008’s Pride and Glory, 2011’s Warrior, 2015’s Jane Got a Gun, and 2020’s The Way Back.

Along with Bernthal and Affleck, The Accountant 2 sees Cynthia Addai-Robinson reprise her role as Marybeth Medina and J.K. Simmons return as Ray King. The cast further includes Daniella Pineda and Allison Robertson.

The screenplay was written by Bill Dubuque. Affleck produces the movie alongside Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams.

The Accountant 2 will be exclusively released in United States movie theaters on April 25, 2025. The Accountant, meanwhile, is currently available to stream on Max. It can also be rented or purchased from other streaming platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and more.
