EPL: ‘Relegation form’ – Carragher names who to blame for Man Utd’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has claimed Manchester United are in “relegation form” following a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday night.

Alexander Isak and Joelinton got the goals for the Magpies at Old Trafford.

The result leaves the Red Devils in 14th place with 22 points, seven off relegation spots.

Carragher has blamed Ruben Amorim for the loss to Newcastle.

“Newcastle were outstanding, especially in the first 35 minutes. In Isak, they’ve got one of the best centre forwards in Europe,” Carragher said on Monday Night Football.

“Right now, he is the most in-form striker in the Premier League. He is a superstar.

“A lot of this is on the manager tonight, but right now it is not just about tonight.

“United have lost five of their last six. That’s relegation form.”
