Insecurity: Nigerian Army advises troops to avoid communication with enemies
The Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarin Daji, Major General Oluyinka Olalekan Soyele, has urged troops to strictly adhere to information security protocols and avoid any form of communication with the enemy. He emphasised this during a Christmas lunch organised for the troops in Gusau, Zamfara State.
This directive was contained in a statement issued by the Joint Media Coordinator, Lt Col Abubakar Abdullahi, and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Tuesday.
Major General Soyele commended the troops for their recent achievements, highlighting their operational successes in the theatre. He acknowledged their resilience and dedication despite challenging conditions and recognised their crucial role in restoring stability and peace to the region.
Reflecting on the past year’s operations, the theatre commander encouraged the troops to renew their vigour and commitment as they approached the new year. He underscored the importance of adaptability and responsiveness to evolving challenges, urging the troops to apply the lessons learnt over the past year to enhance future operations.
Soyele expressed his gratitude for the troops’ dedication and professionalism and assured them of continued support. He also encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of discretion and vigilance during operations, particularly in protecting sensitive information.
The event not only celebrated the festive season but also reinforced camaraderie and unity among the troops.
