Bukayo Saka rates Arsenal’s chances of winning EPL, UEFA Champions League
Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka has expressed confidence that his team is ‘ready’ to compete for both the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
Saka also admitted that it was horrible to narrowly miss out on the Premier League title for two seasons in a row.
Speaking to the BBC ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Crystal Palace on Saturday, the England international said Mikel Arteta’s side want to take that next step and try to win something this term.
“It’s horrible [Arsenal missing out on the last two Premier League titles], I’ll be honest,” Saka said.
“I want to get it over the line this season and try to lift the trophy, for sure.”
“The last two seasons we’ve competed for the league and come very close,” Saka added.
“We’re also back in the Champions League, we have some experience there now, so we feel we’re ready to compete for every trophy.
“We really want to take that next step and try to win something.”
