Transfer: Sparta Prague sign Nigerian defender, Emmanuel

Nigeria defender, Uchenna Emmanuel has sealed a permanent transfer to Czech club, Sparta Prague.

Emmanuel was captured from another Czech club, Banik Ostrava.

The 21-year-old will officially become a Sparta Prague player when the transfer window reopens in January.

Hie arrival will increase the number of Nigerians at Sparta Prague to two, with forward Victor Olatunji already a key player for the club.

“I am very happy that we can welcome Emmanuel to Sparta. There was a lot of interest from other clubs, but he chose us because he sees the best potential for his further development in our club,” Tomas Rosický told the club’s official website.

“He is a young, talented player with excellent potential for further growth. He has the attributes we look for in a centre-back.”
