Nigeria Honors Chidimma Adetshina, Agbani Darego For Making History 23 Years Apart
Nigerians are feeling joyful as they took to the internet to celebrate beauty queens Chidimma Adetshina and Agbani Darego for achieving a historic milestone on the same day, 23 years apart.
In the Miss Universe competition, Chidimma Adetshina finished as the first runner-up. She came in second after Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, who won the 73rd edition of the pageant on November 16, 2024.
Adetshina’s success reminds us of Agbani Darego’s historic win for Nigeria. On November 16, 2001, she became the first Black African woman to win the Miss World title at just 18 years old.
These achievements have filled Nigerians with joy as they celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of these two amazing beauty queens. They are the only Nigerians to reach such heights in history.
