Kogi university sacks four lecturers over sexual misconduct
According to punch: The Governing Council of the Federal University, Lokoja, has approved the dismissal of four lecturers over allegations of sexual misconduct and examination malpractice.
The decision, made during the Second Council Meeting on Thursday, follows a thorough investigation into the allegations raised last year.
Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, who chairs the council, commended the university management for adhering to due process during the probe. He emphasized the council's zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior, urging staff to uphold the institution's integrity.
Ndoma-Egba also encouraged students to report any form of harassment, assuring that no misconduct will be ignored. Pending cases, including one trending in the Faculty of Science, are being expedited.
