Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Thursday failed to beat Benin Republic in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier in Abidjan.

Mohamed Tijani gave Gernot Rohr’s side the lead in the first half.

Benin Republic also dominated the game in the first half.

However, Victor Osimhen equalized for Nigeria in the second half.

The result leaves Nigeria on top of Group D with 11 points from five matches.

Benin, meanwhile, occupy the second position with 7 points from five games.

Rwanda and Libya sit in third position and fourth with 5 and 4 points, respectively ahead of the final group game fixtures in the coming days.
