Federal Uni Lokoja sacks 4 lecturers over allegations of misconduct, sexual harassment

The Governing Council of the Federal University Lokoja, FUL has approved the dismissal of four lecturers on account of examination misconduct and sexual harassment.

Waploaded gathered that the institution is yet to release the names of the sacked lecturers as of the time of filing this report, Thursday evening.

The Council, under the leadership of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba at the Second Council meeting, appreciated the school management for following due process in the investigation that followed the allegations of examination misconduct and sexual harassment against the lecturers.

He vowed that the institution would not tolerate any act of unethical conduct in the University.

“I am urging the University to quickly process the remaining cases of misconduct that are pending, especially the one in the faculty of Science that is trending in the newspapers,” he added.

While cautioning staff and lecturers against actions that are against the laid down rules of the institution, he vowed that the Federal University Lokoja will not sweep any act of misconduct under the carpet.

He urged students to always be bold to speak out to the appropriate authority when they are molested.
