EPL: It’s like a knife – Rodri names his toughest opponent
Ballon d’Or winner Rodri has named Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as his toughest opponent in the Premier League.
He also compared the Egyptian with Lionel Messi, describing Salah as his most challenging rival in the English top flight.
Rodri, who plays for Manchester City, became the first Spanish Ballon d’Or winner since Luis Suarez claimed the award in 1960.
On the other hand, Lionel Messi is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to have ever played the game.
In an interview published in the Mirror on Wednesday, November 13, Rodri compared Messi with Salah.
When asked by a Spanish reporter about the player he found most difficult to face, the Euro 2024 winner said, “I’d say Leo (Messi), and in the Premier League, Salah in his prime. Going to Anfield is like a knife; it’s really tough.”
