“Content creators more supportive than musicians” – Skit maker Gilmore

Content creator Gilmore has expressed the view that Nigerian content creators exhibit a greater degree of mutual support compared to musicians. He attributes this collaborative spirit as a fundamental factor contributing to the remarkable success that Nigerian content creators are currently achieving.

In addition, the skit maker highlighted the pivotal role of social media in their accomplishments, pointing out that audiences increasingly prefer consuming content on their mobile devices rather than traditional television.

During a recent interview with Hip TV, Gilmore remarked, “Content creators enjoy massive success because it [the content-creating industry] is more supportive than the music industry.

“This is 2024; everybody is on their phone. People no longer watch TV. You can make money off social media.”

He also shared that afrobeats artist Ayra Starr represents his ideal partner, while Niniola was his childhood infatuation.
