Loki Season 3 comment teases Tom Hiddleston’s MCU return
Following the release of Loki Season 2 and its epic finale, fans have been wondering if Tom Hiddleston would return for a third season. The possibility, however, has been teased by Brad Winderbaum while speaking to CinePop at Disney’s D23 Fan Event which took place in Brazil.
During the interview, Winderbaum was asked by a CinePop reporter whether there is a chance for Loki to return for a Season 3. Winderbaum didn’t officially deny it, saying, “There’s always a chance.”
In the finale of Loki Season 2, fans witnessed Loki fulfilling his glorious purpose and becoming a savior of the multiple timelines that were dying after the destruction of the temporal loom. He then ascended to a throne at the End of Time, holding all the timelines and appearing in the form of a tree. Following this, fans have been questioning Loki’s return to the MCU countless times.
While talking to Collider about a possible Loki Season 3, Hiddleston said, “There’s a kind of closure, and the broken soul that he started with in the very first Thor movie is healed because he’s always been a character who doesn’t belong, and finally, he finds a place to belong and people to belong to. So, I felt very happy with the conclusion of that.”
The actor further spoke at length about the numerous layers of Loki’s character. Hiddlestone described him as someone who “represents unpredictability, boundary-crossing, disruption, and the question mark.” He continued, “So I feel like if I ever got a chance to play the character again, there are 1,000 things I haven’t done. He’s constantly changing, as are we all.”
