People don’t know how good he was – Troy Deeney names most disrespected English player
Watford legend, Troy Deeney has claimed that Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney is the ‘most disrespected player’ in the history of English football.
According to him, people don’t know how good Rooney was during his playing days as a professional footballer.
“Wayne Rooney might be the most disrespected footballer in English history,” Deeney said on The Stomping Ground.
“People don’t know how f*****g good Wayne Rooney was, and still is.”
He added, “There’s nothing that man couldn’t do.
“You know how people talk about Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham now… Wayne could do it all.”
Rooney established himself as one of Man United and England’s greatest ever players during his impressive 19-year professional career.
The former footballer scored 253 goals for United and also lifted five Premier League trophies under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
