EPL Table: Liverpool go top after Bournemouth shock Man City

Liverpool have regained top spot in the Premier League, following a gritty 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday.

The hosts went behind in the first half thanks to a Ferdi Kadioglu’s low finish.

However, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah scored late at Anfield to turn the game in their favour.

Arne Slot’s men now have 25 points from 10 fixtures, two more than Manchester City.

City saw their unbeaten start to the season end at the Vitality Stadium, where they lost 2-1.

Josko Gvardiol’s late header was mere consolation for the champions, who had gone two goals down, thanks to strikes from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson

Earlier in the day, Arsenal lost 1-0 at Newcastle United and are in fourth place with 18 points.
