Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid Salary Revealed, Huge Raise for Anyone But You Star
Sydney Sweeney has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and as a result, her salary per movie has quickly jumped, according to a new report from THR.
What is Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid salary?
In a new profile on Sweeney’s rise to stardom, THR noted that the actress has quickly seen her paydays increase exponentially. After appearing in the hit romantic comedy Anyone But You (for which she earned $2 million, reportedly), THR notes that Sweeney was paid $7.5 million to star in the upcoming Lionsgate thriller The Housemaid, where she’ll appear alongside Amanda Seyfried.
The jump marks a big one for Sweeney, who has quickly become one of the biggest and most well-known names in Hollywood. While contracts are generally negotiated beforehand, THR notes that due to Sweeney becoming so in demand, she has been able to line up a series of high-profile movies, including her upcoming project where she’ll play boxer Christy Martin.
The report also mentions that the payday increase has to do with the fact that Sweeney received backend profits from Anyone But You ranging in the “millions.” She was also an executive producer on the project, which earned her an additional $250,000.
Another interesting note in the report concerns Sweeney’s role in 2024’s Madame Web. Sweeney agreed to appear in the film, according to THR, as a favor of sorts to Sony Pictures, to get Anyone But You greenlit. “She wanted them to know she was a team player,” a source told The Hollywood Reporter.
