EPL: Man Utd suffer injury blow ahead of trip to West Ham
Manchester United will be without Antony for Sunday’s Premier League trip to West Ham.
Antony was taken off against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday.
United have now confirmed that the Brazil winger sprained his ankle and will not be in the squad to face the Hammers.
“Erik ten Hag’s side will face West Ham without Antony, who was missing from Saturday’s training session due to an ankle sprain he picked up in the closing stages of the game against Fenerbahce,” a statement from the club read on Saturday.
Antony left the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on crutches with his left ankle in a protective boot.
United manager, Erik ten Hag, had said that they would have to wait around 24 hours for medical tests to be carried out.
