Timothée Chalamet Transforms Into ‘Inspiring’ Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown Video
Searchlight Pictures has released a new A Complete Unknown video for its newest biographical drama, which centers iconic folk-rock singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 25, 2024.
“Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, the film follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts — his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation — culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965,” reads the synopsis.

What happens in the A Complete Unknown video?
The video provides the audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the highly-anticipated biopic, as well as a glimpse of lead star Timothée Chalamet‘s music performances, which he sang and played live on the set. It also features director James Mangold and the main cast discussing the impact and influence of Dylan’s music. Besides Chalamet, the cast also includes Edward Norton as Peter Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and P.J. Byrne as Harold Leventhal.
A Complete Unknown is directed by James Mangold from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jay Cocks based on author Elijah Wald’s book titled Dylan Goes Electric. Producers are Fred Berger, Mangold, Alex Heineman, Bob Bookman, Peter Jaysen, Alan Gasmer, Jeff Rosen, and Chalamet. It is executive produced by Dylan along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Andrew Rona.
