Paramount Pictures has shared the final Smile 2 trailer for the highly-anticipated horror sequel to the acclaimed 2022 movie. The R-rated film is scheduled to arrive in theaters this Friday on October 18.

“About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events,” reads the synopsis. “Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

What happens in the final Smile 2 trailer?

The final trailer continues to highlight the sequel’s terrifying sequences featuring Naomi Scott, as her character gets terrorized by an evil entity appearing in front of her in the form of people with sinister smiles. It also teases her drive and determination in surviving the curse.

Smile 2 is once again written and directed by Parker Finn. The first installment was based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. Additional cast includes Raúl Castillo, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Daphne Zelle, Zebedee Row, and A Nightmare on Elm Street alum Kyle Gallner. It is produced by Finn, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Robert Salerno.
