FUHSO Post-UTME/DE 2024: Cut-off mark, Eligibility and Registration Details

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into The First Federal University of Health Sciences in Nigeria, the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) for the  2024/2025 Academic Session.

Eligibility

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2024/2025 UTME or Direct entry admission and have chosen the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) as first choice are eligible for the exercise.

The UTME candidates must have passed O'level at credit level in at least five (5) relevant subjects including English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings and have scored a minimum cut-off marks stated below:

- Direct Entry (DE) Candidates, the University accepts a minimum of Second Class lower in relevant Science courses or A Levels/IJMB with a minimum of 13 points including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

1. COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, (MBBS) - 240 and above 

- B. Sc. Biochemistry - 200 and above 

2. FACULTY OF SCIENCE

- B. Sc. Microbiology - 200 and above 

- B. Sc. Computer Science - 180 and above 

- B. Sc. Chemistry - 180 and above 

- B. Sc. Biostatistics - 180 and above 

- B. Sc. Biological Sciences - 180 and above 

- B. Sc. Mathematics - 180 and above 

- B. Sc. Physics - 180 and above 

Candidates who scored 220 and above in UTME could be allowed to take alternative course during the screening exercise from the following Programmes:

- B. Pharmacy 

- B. Nursing Science 

- B. Medical Lab. Science 

According to the release signed by the Registrar of the University, Mal. Aminu Abba, FIMC, FIPMD candidates who selected FUHSO as the University of First choice during the 2024 JAMB examination are invited for Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening scheduled to hold on Monday & Tuesday, 21st and 22nd October, 2024 at the University's Lecture Theatre, Take-off Campus, Otada, Otukpo

Furthermore, candidates who wish to switch to FUHSO should effect the change on the JAMB portal and select Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo as University of First Choice

Such candidate should select the desired Programme for which he/she has the requisite UTME subject combinations and relevant O'level results.

The candidate should ensure that his/her O'level results are uploaded successfully on the JAMB portal for admission. Any candidate whose results are not uploaded will not be available on JAMB's Central Admission Processing System, (CAPS), and therefore will not be eligible for admission.

Interested candidates are requested to appear for the screening exercise with the following documents:

i. Evidence of selecting Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) as the First Choice through JAMB

ii. Print out of JAMB results from JAMB CAPS

iii. Original SSCE/NECO O'level Certificate/Result 

iv. Birth Certificate 

v. Two passport size photographs 

vi. Evidence of payment of a non-refundable processing fee of two thousand naira (#2,000.00) only in favour of FUHSO through REMITA 

vii. Two photocopies of each of the above documents.
