AFCON 2025 qualifier: Libya sacks coach ahead double-header vs Super Eagles
The Libya Football Federation, LFF, has fired Serbian coach Milutin Sredojevic following the Mediterranean Knights’ poor start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The North Africans occupy the bottom spot in Group D with one point from two games.
Libya were held to a 1-1 draw by Rwanda on matchday one.
They lost 2-1 away to the Cheetahs of Benin Republic in their second game.
According to the Libya Observer, Sredojevic was sacked due to his failure to build a strong team.
Next month, they will first visit Uyo to tackle the Super Eagles, before both teams clash again a few days later in Tripoli.
