Upon the approval of Professor B.G. DanShehu's appointment as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology. Aliero, by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasiru Idris Kauran Gwandu, effective September 4, 2024, the entire University community comprising the Council, Senate. Management, Staff, and Students extends a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The community conveys its best wishes for a successful, productive and seamless tenure. Prof. Danshehu Bagudu Guadanga is a distinguished scholar, season Engineer, Mentor, Role model and ICON of Mechanical Engineering with over 32 years experience He has been a professor for over 17 years. He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Coordinating Director, Engineering Infrastructure at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Idu Industrial Area, Abuja, a parastatal under the Presidency, a position he currently occupies until his appointment as Vice Chancellor

Born 16th July, 1963 to the family of Bagudu Gwadangaji, he started his educational pursuit at Gwadangaji Town Primary School in 1975 and later proceeded to State College of Arts and Scence, Sokoto, where he obtained his General Certificate Examination (GCE) before proceeding to the famous Kaduna Polytechnic in 1983 where he obtained his OND and HND in Mechanical Engineering with an outstanding performance as the best graduating student in 1993 and 1996. Prof. B.G. Danshehu was respectively awarded Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) and Masters of Engineering (M. Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Studies by Bayero University Kano. He was also recognized as an outstanding student in Levels III, IV and V respectively and later crowned as the Bayero University Best Graduating Student (B. Eng) for the 1992/93 academic session. He bagged PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi in 1999.

Prof. B.G. Danshehu started his working career at the Sokoto Energy Research Centre (SERC) as a Technologist, and later as a Researcher. Due to his steadfastness and commitment to duty, be rose through the ladder to become the Director/CEO of the Centre in 2009. As Director of the Centre, he worked extensively on renewable energy and energy systems, and was able to attract over 30 financing. linkages and collaborations both locally and internationally. Under his leadership the Centre attracted research grants of USD 4.2M in 2010 from World bank/step B Project to upgrade the Sokoto Energy Research to Centre of excellence and participated to win Euro4,4m for Umaru Musa Yar adua University Centre of Energy on efficient stoves and economic trees. In addition to conducting researches on Renewable Energy and Energy Systems at the Centre in Sokoto, Prof B.G. Danshehu was also a teaching staff in the mainstream University (Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto) where he undertook courses and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students. He became the pioneer Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering of UDUS

He also served as Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology. Aliero, pioneer Dean, Faculty of Engineering of the same University and Head, Department of Solar Thermal and Energy Conservation Unit Umaru Musa Yar Adua University Katsina. As highly experienced in Mechanical Engineering, Prof B.G. Danshehu has contributed immensely to the growth of engineering, technology and innovations within and outside the country which has earned him several honours and accolades from reputable organizations and individuals. He is a recipient of over 15 local and international awards. As a researcher, he has attended over 60 numerous courses, conferences and workshops and has also headed various technical committees and led several National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation panels. He has over 65 peer reviewed journal and conference papers, 6 technical reports, and delivered several public lectures. He visited over 30 countries and was one time Editor-in-Chief, Nigerian Journal of Renewable Energy Currently, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State appointed Prof. BG. Danshehu as a member of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology: Allero Goveming Council

Prof. Danshehu is a national consultant on Efficient Stoves and Biomass briquitting, a member of Board of Trustees of Gwandu Emirate Development Association (GEDA) and Kebbi Elders Consultative Forum. He was President, Sokoto Students Union, President, Association of Muslim Scientist, Engineering and Medicine and President. Solar Energy Society of Nigeria. A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow and life member of Solar Energy Society of Nigeria. Fellow, Renewable and Alternative Energy Society of Nigeria, Fellow in Renewable Development & COREN Registered Engineer. He has also led several associations, societies, commitees and boards. He is happily married with 7 Children.
