Christianah Idowu: “Ladies, don’t follow a boy for a weekend” – Woli Arole
Content creator turned pastor, Woli Arole faces severe backlashes following his two cents on the untimely demise of a FUNAAB student, Christianah Idowu.
This came after the 300-level student was abducted and murdered by her male friend, a 200-level student of OOU, Ayomide Adeleye before being arrested.
Addressing the tragic incident, Woli Arole took to his Instagram in a now-deleted post to urge women to be security conscious. Listing instances like having a sugar daddy, spending the weekend with male friends, etc., the preacher urged devoting time to their fates.
In his post, he wrote;
“Message to the LADIES:
The devil is on rampage against young ladies destinies. Can we see the rate of RITUAL KILLINGS. Ladies don’t fornicate around, don’t carry SUGAR DADDY, don’t follow one boy friend away for a weekend, don’t date BOYS you know that are doing FRAUD!!!. Be careful. Beware. Study your Bible, PRAY. Give your life to Christ. Your destiny is more than SEX and MONEY.”
However, his post was met with severe backlash from many who ridiculed him for preaching to the victims rather than condemning the culprits.
An Instagram user, @sweetylyx_official wrote, “Instead of warning ladies why not tell your gender to do the right thing. As usual always looking for a way to blame the v!ctims.”
Another user added, @fortunes_smiles added: “One girl was killed in church after Night Virgil.. she was a devoted christain if I can remember… let’s hold the guys accountable as well .. this barbaric nature MUST stop.“
