Superboys of Malegaon Trailer Previews Amazon’s Indian Dramedy Movie
Amazon MGM Studios has released the full Superboys of Malegaon trailer for the upcoming Indian comedy-drama movie, which will have its world premiere next week at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
“The film is based on the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the town of Malegaon,” reads the official synopsis. “The residents of the town look to Bollywood cinema for a much needed escape from daily drudgery. Nasir gets inspired to make a film for the people of Malegaon, by the people of Malegaon. He bands together his ragtag group of friends to bring his vision to life, thereby bringing a fresh lease of life into the town. The film is a poignant yet uplifting take on both filmmaking and friendship – and what happens when those two worlds collide.”

What happens in the Superboys of Malegaon trailer?
The trailer introduces a group of friends who decide to try their hand at filmmaking in an attempt to uplift their small town and give hope to its residents. Following its world premiere, the film will be released in U.S. and India theaters sometime in 2025. It is also expected to stream on Prime Video.
Superboys of Malegaon is directed by Reema Kagti from a screenplay written by Varun Grover. The film stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, Anuj Singh Duhan, Ali Abbas, Nirbhay Jain, Harshad Kumar, Chetan Swaroop Mishra, Athar Nawaaz, Ananya Pathak, Manjiri Pupala and Vineet Kumar Singh. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Farhan Akhtar.
