Report: Travis Kelce to Star in John Wick Director’s New Movie Loose Cannons
NFL superstar Travis Kelce is reportedly in talks with Lionsgate to star in their upcoming project titled Loose Cannons. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has earned global fame for his sporting exploits, leading his team to the coveted Super Bowl title in 2024. Kelce is also known for his publicized relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift. Now, the 34-year-old athlete is all set to make his feature film debut as well.

Kelce has reportedly been circling to lead a forthcoming action comedy by Lionsgate, which will be produced by Chad Stahelski of John Wick fame, alongside Jason Spitz and Alex Young.
As revealed by Jeff Sneider, the movie has been penned by Pixels’ Timothy Dowling. The project is reported to still be in the development stage. It is speculated that the filming process will take some time to begin, reportedly due to Travis Kelce’s packed schedule. With the new NFL season just weeks away from commencing, the sportsman is expected to be unavailable for the time being, per Deadline. Details regarding the plot remain uncertain at the time of writing.
Loose Cannons will serve as the first appearance for Travis Kelce in a feature film. Nevertheless, the renowned footballer already has some on-camera experience under his belt. He has featured in Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie series, which is set to premiere on FX on September 25. While his involvement in the upcoming horror drama has been confirmed, information regarding his role is being kept under wraps.
In addition, Travis Kelce has also been involved in the creative process of other entertainment projects. He recently executive-produced a dark comedy film titled My Dead Friend Zoe. The movie has already premiered at SXSW and is scheduled to come out on November 1.
Despite Kelce’s reported participation in Loose Cannons, Lionsgate has yet to issue an official statement on the topic.
