It Was Not Easy – Flavour Opens Up On His Early Transition In The Music Industry (Video)
Chinedu Okoli, better known as Flavour N’abania, a well-known highlife singer, has discussed his development in the music industry.
He admitted that it was not an easy path. In an interview on the UK’s In My Opinion podcast, Flavour recounted how he began by entertaining small crowds in the East and impressing them with his music.
Wanting to grow his fan base, he took a night bus to Lagos and recorded his first song the following day.
He asked Nigerian rapper Mr Raw for a feature, and after Mr Raw contributed to the track, Flavour went back to Enugu.
He realized that people loved the song, so he produced many CDs and sold them to everyone he met. Flavour also mentioned that he gained valuable insights about being an artist from Mr Raw.
