Transfer: He’s top, amazing player – Caicedo hails departing Chelsea star

Chelsea midfielder, Moises Caicedo, has described his outgoing teammate, Conor Gallagher, as an amazing player.

The England international has been linked with a move away from west London with only a year left on his current deal.

Gallagher is said to have agreed to join Atletico Madrid from Chelsea this summer.

The Spanish side are nearing the completion of an agreement for the services of the midfielder.

Sky Sports reports that Atletico Madrid will cough out the sum of £34 million to get this deal over the line.

Caicedo, who joined the Blues in the summer of 2023, has shared the pitch 47 times with Gallagher without any joint goal contributions.

When asked if the Englishman would be leaving the team, Caicedo said (via @NizaarKinsella):

“I just can say Conor is a top player. I enjoy playing alongside him. He’s an amazing player. That’s it.”
