ABSU reschedules 42nd matriculation ceremony

Senate of Abia State University, at its 272nd Regular meeting, held on Wednesday, 31 July, 2024, approved the rescheduling of the 42nd Matriculation Ceremony of the University, for the 2023/2024 academic session, as follows:

  • Date: Friday, 16th August, 2024

  • Venue: University Pavilion

  • Time: 11.00am

Those to Matriculate:

  • Postgraduate students, who are not graduates of Abia State University;

  • All First Year Undergraduate students of the Regular and the Institute for Continuing Education (ICE), who have paid their school fees;

  •  Other duly admitted and cleared students who, for good reasons, could not matriculate in their year of admission.

The hiring cost of the Matriculation regalia (gown and cap) and Brochure is fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only. Matriculating students should pay at the University designated Banks and payment via bank debit cards.

Payment should be made on or before Tuesday, 13th August, 2024, as issuance of Matriculation materials will commence on Wednesday, 14th August, 2024.

Please note, that the Matriculation ceremony is compulsory for all Fresh Students of the University and only bonafide students, who have accepted their offer-of- admission, paid their fees and registered their courses, as appropriate, shall be eligible for the ceremony.

All should be seated by 10.30am, before the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor's procession.
