Little Red: Neil Marshall Reunites With The Descent Collaborator for New Horror Movie

The Descent director Neil Marshall is set to reunite with frequent collaborator Craig Conway on a new UK horror movie Little Red. The movie puts a contemporary spin on the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

First reported by Deadline, Conway will direct his debut feature, while Marshall will executive produce the film. It was written by Peter Stylianou, and Daniel Patrick Vaughan will do the cinematography. Vaughn and Paul Murray will produce it.

Little Red is currently in pre-production and is a low-budget horror thriller that reimagines Little Red Riding Hood with a modern feel. Its story sees a fifteen-year-old girl unraveling the dark secrets in her family.

Little Red brings a winning horror team back together

Craig Conway had roles in Neil Marshall’s first three movies Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and Doomsday. His acting career has seen him in a variety of projects over the years, including Vera Drake, Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather, Mara, Final Score with Dave Bautista, and The Duke with Jim Broadbent.

Neil Marshall made his name with the now-cult werewolf horror comedy Dog Soldiers. He followed that up with the critically acclaimed The Descent and the underappreciated Doomsday. He then went on to direct movies such as Centurion, Hellboy, and The Lair. His latest film, Duchess, is an action crime thriller starring Charlie Kirk (The Reckoning) as a tough working-class petty criminal turned anti-heroine who is drawn into the world of diamond smuggling.

Marshall has also directed episodes of shows such as Game of Thrones, Constantine, Timeless, Westworld, Lost in Space, Hannibal, and Black Sails.
