Detained Clip Previews Thriller Movie With Abbie Cornish, Laz Alonso

ComingSoon is exclusively debuting a new clip from Detained, an upcoming thriller movie starring Abbie Cornish, Laz Alonso, and more.

Detained is a new thriller movie that will be released this coming August from Quiver Distribution. Along with Cornish and Alonso, the film stars Moon Bloodgood, John Patrick Amedori, Justin H. Min, and Breeda Wool.

What do we know about the Detained movie?

“In the dead of night, Rebecca wakes in a decrepit precinct, accused of a hit-and-run. But a deadly scuffle reveals a sinister plot,” the synopsis for the movie reads. With nowhere to turn, she must uncover the truth before it consumes her. But Rebecca harbors secrets darker than they know.”

Detained is directed by Felipe Mucci, who previously made 2020’s Two Deaths of Henry Baker. Mucci co-wrote the script alongside Jeremy Palmer. Ryan Scaringe serves as a producer, while Alonso, Cornish, and Monica Sufar serve as executive producers.

Cornish is known for starring in movies such as 2004’s Somersault, 2006’s Candy, 2009’s Bright Star, 2010’s Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, 2011’s Limitless, 2011’s Sucker Punch, 2012’s Seven Psychopaths, 2014’s RoboCop, 2017’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and 2017’s Geostorm, among others.
