Ryan Reynolds Channels Taylor Swift in Latest Deadpool & Wolverine Image

Ryan Reynolds is in his “Evermore era,” channeling his inner Taylor Swift in the latest image for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Reynolds posted a photo of Deadpool standing in the forest on his Instagram story that imitates Swift’s Evermore album cover. Reynolds even added one of Swift’s songs from the album to complete his homage to the iconic artist.

There has been speculation that the Midnights singer would make a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine as Dazzler or Lady Deadpool. However, those rumors were debunked in a June report from Entertainment Weekly, stating Swift would not appear in the Deadpool film.

What to Expect in Wolverine & Deadpool?

Marvel’s official synopsis reads: “A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to – Fuck. Synopses are so fucking stupid.”

Reynolds makes his MCU debut as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Logan Howlett/Wolverine. The remaining ensemble includes Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox.

Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine on a script he co-wrote with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Levy will produce with Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

Deadpool & Wolverine is part of Phase Five in the MCU. It arrives in theaters on July 26, 2024. Initial tracking has the third Deadpool film slated to make over $200 million domestically in its opening weekend. That would shatter the record for an R-rated opening previously held by $132.4 million.
