Smiling Friends Season 3, Totally Spies Season 8, and More Announced by WB

Warner Bros. has ordered Smiling Friends Season 3 and Totally Spies! Season 8, as well as full series greenlights for a pair of new animated shows.

During its Defying Expectations Panel at Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the studio unveiled that they will be bringing Totally Spies! back for an eighth season. This comes after Banijay Kids & Family relaunched the beloved animated spy series with a seventh season.

Moreover, Adult Swim — a cable network owned by Warner Bros. — has announced that the workplace comedy Smiling Friends will return for a third season. Meanwhile, the network has also unveiled two new shows, including Oh My God, Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances and Ha Ha You Clowns.

Oh My God, Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances, created by Adele “Supreme” Williams, will center on three best friends as they navigate “the wild and dicey dating misadventures in South Central LA, circa 2102.” The animated show’s pilot episode already aired last year as part of the network’s pilot block.

Ha Ha You Clowns is an animated short series following “three sweet natured brothers who, alongside their deeply caring father, embark on various adventures as they bond together in the wake of their mother’s passing.” The upcoming series is created by Joe Cappa.

When are Smiling Friends Season 3 and Totally Spies! Season 8 coming out?

Both Smiling Friends Season 3 and Totally Spies! Season 8 are still awaiting release dates, given that the former is still in its second season while the latter just returned earlier this year.

Created by Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack, Smiling Friends follows “the employees of a small company dedicated to bringing happiness to a bizarre yet colorful world.” Totally Spies!, on the other hand, sees the return of Sam, Clover and Alex as they navigate teenage life while working as undercover agents for the World Organization of Human Protection (WOOHP).
