Nas has been teasing the imminent arrival of his twelfth studio album — and first since 2012’s Life Is Good — for roughly a year now, ever since he and DJ Khaled teamed up for a song literally called “Nas Album Done” in 2016. Yet, despite the frequent chitter-chatter, nothing has emerged.

Until now. In a recent New York Times article, the reporter asked Nas whether he was done with his next LP. Nas’ last album was Life is Good in 2012. “Two weeks,” he said. “I always say I’m two weeks away from finishing … We coming this summer, baby. It’s going to be a hot summer.”

There you have it! We can only hope Nasir is not just playing with out feelings and the 5-year wait will be worth it. Looking forward to the LP?
