American Nightmare Trailer Previews Netflix Crime Docuseries

Netflix has released the American Nightmare trailer for its upcoming crime documentary series about a couple’s bizarre home invasion and kidnapping incident. The three-part docuseries will be available for streaming on January 17, 2024.

What to expect in American Nightmare?

“After a home invasion and abduction, a young couple’s recounting of the events is too far fetched for the police to believe,” reads the synopsis. “Why did the victims seem so calm? Was it all a hoax? From the filmmakers behind The Tinder Swindler, this three-part docuseries unravels the consequences of our cultural rush to judgment, and the damage done when law enforcement decides the truth can’t possibly be true.”

American Nightmare is directed and produced by Bernadette Higgins & Felicity Morris, who are the filmmaking duo behind Netflix’s Tinder Swindler. It is executive produced by Rebecca North and Fiona Stourton. It is a production by RAW.
