Found: NBC Renews Hit Crime Drama for Season 2

NBC has renewed its hit procedural drama Found for Season 2. As part of the broadcasting network’s early renewal announcements, Deadline reports that Found — currently airing nine episodes — will be coming back for Season 2. It has been renewed alongside the crime series The Irrational, which will resume airing its remaining Season 1 episodes on January 29.

What is Found about?

Found has managed to garner 10.5 million viewers in the first week of its premiere on NBC, becoming the network’s most-viewed television series to date. Starring Shanola Hampton (Shameless Hall Of Shame), Found follows public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (Hampton) and her crisis management team as they ensure to look out for forgotten missing people.

Every member of her team has had their own experience with mysterious disappearances. Gabi Mosely herself was one of the missing people of color in the United States. However, Gabi — still haunted by her past — keeps quite a horrifying secret of her own: she has her childhood kidnapper, Hugh “Sir” Evans (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), locked up in her basement.

Despite the fact that she is a kidnapper herself, Gabi uses Sir’s acquired knowledge to help her on her quest to solve forgotten cases of missing people.

The official synopsis for Found reads: “In a riveting new drama, brilliant recovery specialist Gabi Mosely and her team are dedicated to finding America’s missing and forgotten people. They’ll stop at nothing to solve these cases because for them, it’s personal – every member of the team has firsthand experience with a mysterious disappearance.”

Besides Hampton and Gosselaar, Found also stars Brett Dalton as Mark Trent, Kelli Williams as Margaret Reed, Gabrielle Walsh as Lacey Quinn, Karan Oberoi as Dhan Rana, and Arlen Escarpeta as Zeke Wallace.

The series hails from showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, with Sonay Hoffman, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Lindsay Dunn serving as executive producers.

The final two episodes of Found will air on NBC on January 9, 2024. The series is also streaming on Peacock.
