Svalta: Lena Headey Exits Nick Frost-Led Horror Movie
According to Deadline, Game of Thrones vet Lena Headey has officially decided to exit Nick Frost‘s upcoming horror movie titled Svalta. The project would have reunited Headey and Frost after starring together in 2019’s Fighting with My Family. Headey is being replaced by Living With Yourself’s Aisling Bea. Further details surrounding Headey’s exit are currently under wraps. Production on the project has officially wrapped up in Finland.
Headey is best known for her acclaimed role as Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones. She recently appeared in the HBO miniseries White House Plumbers. Despite exiting Svalta, Headey still has another project lineup in the form of David Leitch’s upcoming action thriller Ballerina Overdrive.
What to expect in Svalta?
Svalta is directed by Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil from a screenplay written by Frost, who will also serve as a producer. It is a production by Wayward Entertainment, Resolute Films, Film Service Finland, and XYZ Films. Joining Frost and Bea are Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper) and newcomer Maisie Ayres.
“The film will follow a family on their summer vacation to a remote island with a dark past,” reads the synopsis. “There, they discover that a serial killer is on the loose and that unfortunately for them, the hostile locals have no interest in helping them.”
