Respite for Enyimba as Abia Governor promises to offset salaries
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has promised to clear the salaries and allowances of Enyimba’s players and coaching staff.
The players and the coaches have not received monthly stipends for the past four months.
Otti made the announcement at the reception organised for the team for winning the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier League title on Thursday night at the Government House In Umuahia.
The state’s number one citizen, however, failed to announce a monetary gift for the team.
Otti promised to compensate the team for their successful campaign in the NPFL in due course.
Enyimba will compete in the Naija Super 8 playoffs in Lagos next week.
