Elio Teaser Trailer Previews Pixar’s Out of This World Adventure Movie

A new Pixar movie is on the horizon. The animation studio has released the official Elio teaser trailer, which previews its out-of-this-world space adventure film.

What is Elio about?

Elio is an underdog child who finds himself taken aboard an alien spaceship and transported to the Communiverse. Here, he’s believed to be the leader of Earth. While not too much is shown off in the trailer, the aliens will look to Elio to show them the merits of the planet.

Elio will star Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, America Ferrera, and Yonas Kibreab, and will release on March 1, 2024. The film will be Pixar’s next film following Elemental — which launches this week — and will be the second film that Pixar has planned for 2024, with Inside Out 2 also set for a June 14, 2024 release.

“The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.”
