2023 Election: Has Tinubu Been A Master Strategist?

What do you make of this 1993 presidential election results between MKO Abiola's Muslim-Muslim ticket of SDP and that of Tofa of NRC!

The Igbos gave Abiola 48 percent of their votes.

The South South gave Abiola more than 50 percent of their votes. Abiola won South West and South South, and got an almost 50 percent in South East.

Look at the votes Abiola got in Lagos. Abiola recorded an overwhelming victory in Lagos. Can Tinubu pull same stunt?

Can Tinubu fetch 50 percent of votes in South South and 48 percent of votes in South East?

No. Why is because the problem is not the Muslim-Muslim ticket as most people from the South who are against Tinubu's candidacy postulate. The problem is the past political error of Tinubu occassioning the much accepted Obi's.

"You don't join forces with a united house to fight your brother."

The problem is the role Tinubu played in 2015 that ousted Jonathan out of office. Tinubu did that for a Northerner as against his brother in the South.

Presently, can a presidential candidate win an election without winning 2/3 of the geopolitical zones or majority of votes in his region?

Tinubu sacrificed the good support he would have gotten from the South South and South East for Buhari. Now, is Buhari ready to pay back in kind?

2023 election is going to give answers to so many questions and puzzles to wit: the position of the IGBOS in Nigeria; the truth about the political sagacity of Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the importance of religion in politics; and the truth about UNITED NORTH.

The 'master strategist' *MAY* not even be a good strategist after all.
