Horror: 31-year-old Woman Admits Killing a Stranger By Pushing Him Under a Moving Automobile
A young woman has admitted killing a stranger by pushing the young man under the wheels of a moving automobile.
Charissa Brown-Wellington, a 31-year-old woman has admitted killing a stranger by pushing him under a moving tram.
According to Metro UK, Charissa Brown-Wellington pleaded guilty to manslaughter during a brief hearing at Manchester Crown Court this morning.
Philip Carter, a 30-year-old labourer from north Manchester, was fatally injured at Victoria station, at about 7.50pm on Sunday, June 11.
The court heard that Carter was fatally wounded after an argument with the mum who lives in Oldham.
Brown-Wellington, will be sentenced at the same court next month, and was remanded in custody.
She spoke only to confirm her plea, then waved and blew kisses to members of her family as she was sent down.
The court heard that the prosecution accepted her guilty plea to manslaughter.
Prosecuting, Rob Hall said careful consideration had been made with appropriate parties before the plea was accepted.
Brown-Wellington had previously been charged with murder.
Defending, Mark Ford said psychiatric reports will have to be considered before sentence, as well as a pre-sentence report.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Brown-Wellington, who was born in Crumpsall and lives at Whitley Street, Oldham, was a stranger to Mr Carter.
Emergency services attended at the station but Mr Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown-Wellington will be sentenced on October 30.
