Horror as Pastor's Wife Burns Her Own Daughter With Hot Water...Her Reason Will Shock You (Photo)

A Kenyan woman from Kitengela who is said to be the wife of a Pentecostal church pastor is being held for allegedly burning her daughter with hot water.

According to SDE, the incident which took place at Kyang’ombe area, left residents in shock, especially after the pastor denied any knowledge of it.

It is alleged that the pastor’s wife poured hot water on the girl’s thighs, leaving her with a big scar. According to neighbours, the woman was angry after the girl, 8, went playing at a nearby estate against her wish.

Gladys Mayaka Onyancha is said to have burnt her stepdaughter and locked her indoors.

Kitengela police officers and members of the public rescued the Class Two pupil at around 8pm on July 10 and arrested the woman.

Angry residents accused Onyancha of mistreating the little girl while her father who is a pastor in Kitengela watched helplessly.

“We, as neighbours, are very disappointed in the woman for mistreating the young girl. We are concerned that she has been doing difficult house chores instead of playing with fellow children.

We have spoken to the girl’s father who has continually barred us from interfering in his family matters,” said John Muthui, the area community policing officer.

The girl’s father who appeared at the police station after his wife was arrested, claimed he was not aware of the incident, even though he found his daughter feeling unwell on the fateful day.

“I did not know that my daughter had a serious burn. I found her sick and had planned to take her to hospital,” he claimed.

Isinya OCPD Stephen Weda said the woman who is currently being held at Kitengela Police Station will be arraigned in Kajiado Law Courts.

He warned those mistreating and harming innocent children that they would face the law.

He also reassured members of the public that the tip offs they give to security agencies will be highly guarded in confidence.

“Such incidences are unfortunate and cruel persons deny children their rights. Those found guilty of humiliating and harming innocent children will not be spared by the law,” vowed Weda.

The girl is being treated at a hospital in Kitengela.
