Chevalier Trailer: Kelvin Harrison Jr. Leads Biopic Drama
Searchlight Pictures has released the official trailer for Chevalier, its upcoming biographical drama starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Samara Weaving, and Lucy Boynton. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 7, 2023.
The Chevalier trailer highlights the incredible talent of Joseph Bologne as he uses his gift to make a name for himself in the changing French society. However, despite clearly being the best musician of them all, prejudice and racism will stand in the way of his success. The video also teases how he will try to overcome this by using his music to ignite a revolution.

Chevalier is directed by Stephen William from a screenplay written by Stefani Robinson. The film features Kelvin Harrison Jr. portraying French-Caribbean music prodigy Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Joining him are Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody), Marton Csokas (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), and Alex Fitzalan (The Society).
“Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges,” reads the synopsis. “The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Bologne (Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance) rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling out with Marie Antoinette and her court.”
Chevalier is produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Stefani Robinson, and Dianne McGunigle.
